Finishing doll

I was asked by several of you to share the bed doll I am finishing up however it is a commission piece and I have to show the owner first. When it is delivered I will share a pic. Until then here is a little peek of the hair in progress...and a bit of the CQ dress....Isn't that the cutest little face? It is the owner's granddaughter.
I took your suggestions and added tiny vintage aged ric-rack,lace,and will be adding a hat type thingy.

  1. Looks absolutely fascinating so far, I hope we won't have to wait too long to see it properly in all its glory.

  2. How sweet and what a great idea to use her granddaughters face. Looking forward to seeing the finished project!

  3. Absolutely Beautiful!

  4. Such a great idea to used the Granddaughter's face!

  5. I love it, that face is beautiful. I can't wait to see the finished doll. I saw a doll on T.V. today with a childs face. It reminded me of your little dolls you used to make.
Thought I would see if you have finished the olive green things for me. I said no hurry and I mean it, I know you have had your hands full.
Hope you are feeling better now.
    Hugs, Pat

  6. Wonderful!!! i made a doll witha very stylized simplified shape for my Mom a while back. I used a baby picture of myself for the face. She really loves it!! I did not add hair as the picture was from when I was very very young and before I ahd long hair- so I got away without worrying about hair!!! Can't wait to see the entire piece!!!

  7. This is such a lovely and unique doll. The hair is precious and her dress is beautiful. Is the face printed on fabric? Love this...

  8. Gorgeous Pat! As always. Hope your mom is doing well.

  9. I love the hair Pat I think it is so cool, unique and fun!

Your comments make me smile, I love hearing from you and thank you so much for taking a moment to stop by. Enjoy your day!
