Lost another great one

"Nobody puts Baby in a corner"....I loved that line in "Dirty Dancing",and will always remember Patrick Swayze as the handsome gentleman who never let stardom go to his head. His wife was a lucky lady with this down to earth man. I loved him in " Ghost" as well, and anything he did got your attention. I've even watched "Roadhouse" several times which really isn't my kind of movie but loved his character .
It is a sad day but I knew it was close.

Lots to catch up on but just not in the mood right now. I am of to the beach for a short walk with mom.

  1. I am sad too. He was my favorite actor. He will be missed by a lot of people, but it helps to have his movies. He will always be with us that way.

  2. Mr. Swazye was a class act from day one. He was a man's man in Roadhouse and a loving husband in Ghost. He knew how to laugh at his own image on SNL. I even used his famous line, "Nobody puts baby in the corner" on a onesie I created for my granddaughter. He will be missed but never forgotten. Sea Witch

  3. Such a loss, though we knew it had to come too soon. He left us with sweet memories, didn't he?

Hope your walk on the beach is wonderful!

  4. It was such sad news wasn't it - and from what I have read over the past year or so he, he put on a very brave and dignified 'fight'. It is so sad when someone passes - but on a positive note, he left a wonderful legacy with his films etc - so his memory will live on.

  5. Pat, I went to the beach (ocean) for the first time in *17* years during Labor Day weekend.
I thought of you when I found ome sea glass.

  6. Hope you & your Mom enjoyed the beach. The weather was just fantastic today!

Spent time w/my Mom, too. I think she enjoyed her time at the AIC

I told her all about your new classroom. It is just so awesome. Your enthusiasm is contagious.

  7. Ditto Ditto Pat....
I loved every movie Patrick played in and I am like you I have watched them over and over.. Dirty Dancing is my favorite. He will certainly be missed...He was one of the best.

  8. Yes, it was a great loss. For him, I am glad he is now free from the pain and the constant media death watch.

  9. This is a terrible loss, for his wife-first, then for his extended family and friends, then for Hollywood. He was a great actor and now cancer took his life. Well, life is short and the unexpected does happen!

Your comments make me smile, I love hearing from you and thank you so much for taking a moment to stop by. Enjoy your day!
