Sewing day

Yesterday was spent on the front porch swing sewing a CQ bracelet for a woman who saw them in the Summer 2009 issue of Sew Somerset. She wanted to treat herself to one for her birthday this month. My plans were to start it before working on my many other projects however it was so enjoyable stitching away on this piece that I couldn't stop. I completed it around 1:30. Hopefully I captured the "shabby" feel I was going for.
What a pleasant way to spend the day.

I hope to accomplish more stitching today and swap out puzzle pieces. I found an easier method which I will share on the Pieces of Friendship blog later. I am off to sip some tea on the front porch for a bit before I begin my day. I hope you have a sunny day.

  1. Oh My! I had to enlarge and check out every detail. I would so love to sit next to you and watch and learn. The ribbon flowers are so precious. Maybe I could find a book in the library with some how to's.

I know the lady will be delighted with her new treasure.

Love the story of dad & LuLu Belle.
