Birthday Giveaway.

So, I've been a busy girl enjoying this beautiful day. Had lunch with mom after the post office, enjoyed calls from friends and a short visit with Jilly who brought some pretty pkgs I didn't want to open because they were so cute.

I got to play in the garden and mow, yes, I enjoy that, but all day I've had you all on my mind , hoping to find the quiet time I had promised to share my birthday giveaway plans for this year. It's simple, I collect all the names wishing birthday wishes from midnight last night to midnight tonight and DH will get to pull out two names from the hat when he gets home tomorrow. The first name will receive a crazy  quilt change purse that I will happily make in your colors, and the second name will receive the printed and PDF copy of my last published issue of Crazy Quilt Gatherings magazine coming out a little early so Pam can begin her publication for the new year. So, you do nothing, just wait until I announce the two winners tomorrow afternoon.

My husband brought a tiny snapping turtle home this afternoon. I've named him JJ and created a home. Can you tell I'm in need of a fur baby? LOL.

I'll be hitting the beach in the morning with my pal Dawn, then to Starbucks for a refreshing drink. I'll be thinking of you :-)

Thank you for all the warm Birthday wishes. It has been overwhelming and I've enjoyed every one of them. I'll also be doing more giveaways during 2015 since I will have more free time, so stop by from time to time, you may get a surprise. Hugs and smiles!

  6. Must be something going around about snapping turtles! My DH rescued one the other day and put him down by the river - he said he was a little one too. They grow to very large sizes with the disposition to go along with it. Methinks a furry pet would be a much safer choice! Glad you had a happy day.

  9. Oh my dear Pat Happy Birthday again girl I am going to wear your eyes out with the HB. the turtle is so cute, but probably doesn't need the love a fur baby does. Our new one, suppose to be grown but me thinks he is still growing. I swear he has gotten taller since we got him about a month ago. We are learning more things that he is taught. Wish we knew more about dog training, he is probably laughing at us. Silly humans I am smart and know lots of things. OK I strayed on the Birthday wishes. Hugs and enjoy a whole month of celebrating and so glad you got play in your yard today. xoxoxooxxo YR

  14. Happy birthday Pat!
JJ is super cute! Are you going to keep him? Aren't they dangerous when they are full grown?? I love turtles and used to collect little turtle figures in the past. As a pet I would prefer something furry, though ;-)
    Have a nice day!!

  17. Happy Birthday Pat. A TURTLE! Terry brought me a turtle and I had him for YEARS. He grew big and we had him in a 29 gallon tank. He was so much fun. The kids called him Stretch because he could stretch his neck far enough to turn his head and snap you.

Here's to a great birthday. Enjoy the mow...cold weather in moving in fast here in Northern Indiana.

  22. My personal philosophy is to celebrate every birthday as a special 'me' day - I can always do the 'I'm depressed because I'm a year older' routine the day AFTER. Grin!
