A light snow flurry?

I think not! The weather man reported light snow flurries in NW Indiana this morning. Ha! Does this look like a "light" snow flurry to you? This sidewalk was shoveled after the "blizzard" last Tues. I know, what sidewalk? We were dumped on again last night and this morning and they call it a "light" snow flurry? If this had been in Chicago they would have labeled it blizzard #2. Go figure.

I just had to snap a few pictures of the beautiful clean fluff. The temp is 12 degrees but it feels much warmer than that. So, I am sharing "Winter's Winter Wonderland" with you. Have a great day.

  1. This looks so beautiful Pat! Having said that I don't have to shovel the stuff. I have a feeling I might like to "winter" in a cool climate in the future instead of a warm climate. I live in a green climate here on the west coast so snow although unwelcome by many, is a treat for me. Love to watch it falling and the reflections of light on the surface.

  2. The snow last night was pretty and it was light but it wasn't much fun to come home from work and have to shovel AGAIN! But doing it last night saved me from having to do it before work this morning! I agree--it was a lot more than a minor flurry. But it was very pretty.

Contrats on the magazine--I look forward to seeing it!

I can say that as I sit inside and tour the internet!

  5. Hi Pat! I'm south of Indianapolis, and we did get just a flurry. The roads are clear and I'm waiting for the snow they promised. Enjoy your day!

  6. Pat, perhaps light only in color! Such beautiful photos and a cozy house. We are bracing for another snow/ice/teen temps adventure tonight. Right now, sunny and 40 something. Stay warm! ~ Angela

I'm amazed at how much of your garden survives the snow.Keep warm.
How does car travel go in the snow?

  8. After a heavy frost, we had lovely sunny weather here in Leicestershire today....and what did I do? Got in the car, went on some much needed trips and then went to a Art/Gallery/cafe and had lunch too, all under one roof!
It's turned cooler her now though, hope we don't get any 'white fluffy' stuff!

  10. It is beautiful but ugh I am tired of being cold! Thank goodness no snow here and much warmer at 43 degrees, I know I have no right to complain compared to you but can I complain just a little? Stay warm, Pearl

  11. I know it is no joke for you over there, but I never tire of seeing all the snowy scenes on my favourite blogs! We don't have snow like that where I am in Australia, and I have to admit that I don't think I'd like to live with it, pretty as it looks!
