Refreshed

I did manage to make it to the beach this morning before visiting mom and boy was it refreshing. There is nothing like a brisk morning on a quiet beach to soothe the soul. It was just cool enough to be comfy in a hoodie. I had the beach to myself so I had some fun and took a lot of pictures . The sun was just rising over the dunes and this scene looked so serene with the waves approaching the shore.
Then they arrive! The South end of a passing gull.A beautiful cloud filled sky. Looking toward Michigan and waving to my friends there......Remember Gumby & Pokey? My shadow looks like Gumby's sister .Look closely to see the Chicago skyline in the center left.I found a few treasures.A toy star mold stands alone. Some child will be thrilled to discover this. One set of foot prints today.....two sets next time :-)
Mom is out of ICU and getting a meal this evening. Whew! Relief at last. She asked for a slice of watermelon. A good sign. It was a good day!
Hope yours was too.

  14. Hi Pat
So sorry to hear about your mum's recent illhealth. She must be proud to have such a wonderfully concerned and attentive daughter like you. You will be so happy to bring her home. Just a little bit more craziness in your sewing world but mum is recovering and that is great.
    Best wishes, Suzy
