Retreat???

I cannot stop thinking about the Pink House and a possible Crazy Quilting retreat. I have received many questions and will answer them here.First, here is the info on their site....
The Pink House
A Victorian gem in in the Heart of New Buffalo

The Pink House is a beautifully restored Victorian home that is great for reunions, football weekends, retreats or Winter Holidays! It comfortably sleeps 10 and offers every amenity.  We are ideally located close to everything. The gorgeous beach is a short walk away, as are the shops and restaurants of the town. Stroll to the harbor for boating or fishing, Day Spa, and Oinks ice-cream parlor. Bicycle, jet ski,
kayak, or canoe rentals provide something for all ages. Nearby towns offer golf, horseback riding, hayrides, wine tasting, art galleries, zoo, and outlet stores.

After a fun filled day, relax in the wicker rockers on the enclosed porch, or climb the cupola for spectacular sunset views over the lake. This idyllic getaway is available year round

It says it sleeps 10 comfortably, so 9 people can join me. I have a list of possible names and if this does happen, they will have first choice of attending. You don't have to be a crazy quilter, just have a desire to work on a crazy quilt project while there.

I have contacted the owners and am waiting for a day and time for a walk through so I can  get a better idea of how many it will accommodate  and so forth. I think either April or June of 2011 would be the time, so everyone has time to save for it. Cost of lodging will be divided among number attending , food will be your responsibility, and a small fee for teaching a crazy quilt project during our stay.

Restaurants are within walking distance,as well as quaint shops. The bead shop and fabric shop we will drive to and stop in St. Joe for a visit as well. (My favorite town) We can even take a short trip to my class studio if you wish and perhaps have tea in the garden one day. Maybe even a day of dyeing your own silk ribbons!!!
Lots to plan, much interest and I will keep you informed as I get info. If they allow me, I will take pics of the interior so you will know where you will live for a week.
If you are a gambler, Four Winds Casino is minutes away for your evening activities. I don't gamble, but there is a shop in there to die for.
There is an outlet mall in Michigan City 15 minutes away.If you fly in, O'Hare International or Midway  airport will bring you in to Chicago and either rent a car , take the shuttle limo(bus)or take the South Shore train to Michigan City then either I can pick you up or you can take a taxi to New Buffalo. It is very easy to find right off highway 12 aka (Red Arrow highway)

I am off to sew a bit...can't wait to see the inside of the Pink House!!!! Imagine watching the sunset over the lake  across the street up in the cupola!!!
