Matlida....ready to greet!

After breakfast DH performed surgery on Matilda. No worries, she is fine. Apparently after sitting for many years, the old girl's spine was a bit rusty and needed a lift. Now she stands 5'6" and wears a vintage silk dress slip with handmade lace made by a lady in Valpo many years ago.

I purchased it about 8 years ago at an estate sale. It hung behind the door of my studio all those years waiting for Matilda to arrive.

Matilda has four green feet which will remain as is.:-)

Matilda is happy and waiting to greet all.

  1. Matilda is a treasure, especially all dressed up in her finery. A great pre-birthday present I would say!

  2. How nice to have a "surgeon" on call! Matilda's feet match your color scheme, don't they? You did a great rescue job, I think, and your classroom looks wonderful.
