Having a most blissful afternoon!!!!!

It's here!!!! My sweet bird on shoe arrived just a few minutes ago. After returning home from my busy errand running morning, I jotted a few emails, tied up my hair, jerked on my skimmers and a long tee ,grabbed a plum, bottled water and my new Lake and Victoria magazines and headed to the porch swing. The air is cool and the sun is shining bright, and I need a break.

I love to get my shopping done early so I have some quiet mindless time to myself. This was one of those mornings.

With groceries put away, and dinner planned, my mind was ready to delve into the Lake magazine and plan a trip to Michigan with mom so we could hit the farmer's markets. This issue featured the produce markets, perfect timing. Anyway, I dogeared a few pages and started browsing the Victoria magazine.

Autumn is upon us I'm afraid, so you may as well make the best of it I say. I planned a few picnics in my head to surprise DH with, next time he wants to take a long ride, and I read a few recipes which I would love to try but my DH is a picky eater, so I may have to try them on my mom or friends.

As I was flipping through Victoria and sharing my plum with Angell, the mail lady came. The only other thing that could have made the day even better, arrived!!!! I tried to remain calm while cutting through the tape, but my inner child started ripping away and within seconds, there it was, a perfect little creation sitting in my hand. My heart melted as I viewed the soft green bird perched upon it's lace covered shoe. The tiny delicate brush strokes making the nest and three beautiful eggs with small pink flowers meandering around them.

But wait! What's this? Something wrapped and heavy.........oh my! Two beautiful paintings on mermaid's tears....for me!!!! Are these special or what!

What an extra thrill! My eyes teared as I felt the artist's thrill and smile as she tucked these carefully in with her creation. I love to include an unexpected surprise in a package. I know what a warm feeling I get when I receive something that is not expected, and enjoy passing that feeling on. I just had to grab the magazine which shares more of Laurie's work and photograph my gathering of bliss to share with my blogging buddies.

My day has been most blissful and my heart is smiling. Thank you Laurie for taking the time to create for a stranger, something that touches her heart deeply. It is appreciated more than you know.
